However, did you know that Priyanka’s mom, Madhu Chopra was once sceptical about getting a son-in-law who was not Indian?
Back in the day, when tabloids were linking Priyanka Chopra to more than a few American actors, mommy Chopra was asked about the possibility of PeeCee bringing home a white guy. Laughing off the possibility, Madhu said that she felt it would be much easier for her daughter to adapt to married life if her partner were from the same cultural background.
“I can’t imagine Priyanka with a foreigner,” she admitted.
The proud mommy, also went on to add that she knew the values her daughter stood by and if she didn’t want to get married, she wouldn’t have any issue with that.
Priyanka and Nick will celebrate their second wedding anniversary on December 1. The couple tied the knot in an over-the-top wedding according to Christian and Hindu traditions.
