Confirming the news that the actor had been suffering from cancer and had now been cured of it, Dutt’s close friend and the producer of his next Torbaaz Rahul Mittra said, “I am euphoric to know that Sanju has defeated cancer. He’s a true fighter and once again overcome this grave adversity. Prayers of millions of well wishers across the world have also helped him immensely. I look forward to celebrating with him soon.”
Dutt had been diagnosed with cancer in August this year and had put up a post on social media informing his fans about undergoing treatment for an illness, saying that he will beat the disease. In a recent video, which was shot at a salon that the 61-year-old actor frequents, he pointed towards a scar on his forehead and said, “This is a recent scar in my life, but I’ll beat it. I’ll be out of this cancer soon.”
In September Dutt also resumed shooting for Shamshera and is prepping to shoot for KGF Chapter 2 in November. When we reached out to the actor to congratulate him on his recovery, he replied with a thanks and an emoji of folded hands.
